biodiesel and for sunflower oil production.

Ninety-three-year-old Stan Brown has

been raising bees since he was a young

boy.  Brown’s Bee Farm is located in

North Yarmouth.

Crystal Spring Farm in Brunswick has strong

community ties with its lease from the Brunswick-

Topsham Land Trust and its thriving CSA -

Community Supported Agriculture program.

Deer are raised at Applegate Deer Farm in

West Newfield.  The farm sells venison and antler

velvet.

Deborah Chadbourne of Rasmussen Farm in

Freeman Township has been integral to the success of farmers markets in western Maine.
