Rachel and Nate
Michael and Suzanne Smith have lent support to the raising of Randall cattle at Ironwood Farm.
They have both trained as scientists and they are passionate about supporting heritage breeds
and concerned about the lack of genetic diversity
in agricultural enterprises. The Randall cow is a heritage breed of cattle originating on the farm of Everett Randall of Sunderland, Vermont. The breed is valued for their unique genetic heritage.
Nate and Rachel are raising the Gloucestershire Old Spots pig which is an heritage pig known for its distinctive white coat with black spots.
